● Tue, Dec.1: The Roosevelt Hotel, New Orleans - We are proud to perform for the Opening Presentation of The Roosevelt Hotel's world famous Lobby Christmas Decorations. The Lobby has not been decorated for Christmas since 2004. And it has not been decorated with the name "The Roosevelt Hotel" for many years. The Roosevelt is part of The Waldorf Astoria Collection, and it shows. The hotel has been resurrected to it's "Roosevelt" glory. You'll first notice in the lobby that the old carpet is gone, to expose the original tile and marble floors that  have been painstakingly restored. We're going to perform in that very lobby at 6:00PM. This may be a brief performance, and everyone's invited. So don't come late....and, oh-yeah. Wipe ya' feet. ●  Thur, Dec.3: Chenier Condos in Mandeville "Live At Chenier!-Holiday Concert Series" at Chenier Condos, 1901 Hwy 190, Mandeville (985-778-0459).. We'll perform 6:00-9:00PM, in the Gazebo. This performance will include our "Ya' Mamma's Gutted Out Lakeview Horn Section". We'll sell all our "Yats" and "Ain't Dere No More" tees and CD's really cheap, and autograph whatever ya' want. ●  Sun, Dec.6: At Diamondhead in Diamond, Mississippi: The Diamondhead Performing Arts Society presents "Crescent City Christmas" in the ballroom. We go on around 6:00PM for two 45minute shows.

WWL-TV(Ch.4) "The Morning Show". We'll be there very early, but probably will perform a bunch of times between 7:00-9:00AM. We'll do lotsa' new and funny stuff. (WWL-TV is New Orleans' CBS affiliate, and dedicates time to local news, events, and entertainment, way-way beyond the call of duty. Thanks Y'all. to WWL-Ch.4.)

At Lakeview Harbor, which was the real location of the "Velvet Swing", 911 Harrison Ave.. in downtown Lakeview, 70124, (Right across the street from the snow-ball stand). Were you a Velvet Swing regular? Were you a Velvet Swing casual customer? Do you wish you had gone to the Velvet Swing more often? Were you thrown out a few times?  Did you practically live there? Or are you just Really-Lakeview. Or wish you were any of the above? This is your kind of socializing and learning opportunity. We're gonna' set-up and play all of our music live in the restaurant (yes, the Main Room!), starting about 7 - 10PM. We'll have all the CD's and Tees to sell (cheap - at Velvet Swing era prices) and autograph. And here's the cover charge...Ya' ready?...95cents. Yep Ninety-Five CENTS!! ●  Mon Oct.19: "The Makaha Sons" return to New Orleans and we're gonna' open for them at Lakeview Harbor. The Makaha Sons are Hawaii's premiere music group, with 21 CD's to their credit. Some of their recent performances include Carnegie Hall, and twice on the NBC Today Show. "The Sons" music is something very different and beautiful (and you don't hear me say beautiful). Vocally and musically it's a treat. And live; it's a triple treat.At Lakeview Harbor, 911 Harrison Ave. (downtown Lakeview), New Orleans-70124. This event will be inside the main dining room. The price is $25 (twenty five dollars) per person. That covers admission and Hawaiian buffet. We'll go on from 7:00 till 8:15PM, and "The Sons" will go on right after us. St. Andrew's was the first CYO Dance I ever played. In 1961??!!). (Also the first time I drove over the "New Bridge" - 35cents!. Really,  that would be about $3.50 in 2009 dollars. So actually now it's $2.50 cheaper than it was to get outta' da' Westbank!)

Sat, March 28:  In Lakeview! Dancin' by da' street! All Thirteen Businesses on West Harrison Ave. are giving a Block Party! 1:00-6:00PM. Free beverages and food and a free "Lucky Dog" stand. ● Sun, Feb.8: Benefit at Mid City Lanes Rock'n Bowl for drummer Harry Ravain. (Harry Ravain has been the drummer for Benny Grunch & The Bunch since 1997. He's been battling cancer since August 2008. It's been rough to say the least; but there have been some recent truly amazing improvements.) There'll be lots'a bands and performers and fun stuff. OK for kids, and Mawmaws, and Everybody, even Metry' people.  3:00-7:00PM (maybe later).

"Krewe Of Mona Lisa" / "Krewe Of Moon Pie" after parade Ball-Bash-Party-Dance, at The Arcade Theatre in Old Town Slidell (just off Front St. at 2249 Carey St. - The Arcade is a National Historic Landmark); 9:00PM'ish till 12:00Midnight. The Krewe Of "Push-Mow" Parade rolls at 11:00AM from the Abita Town Hall in Downtown Abita Springs, LA. Benny is the Honarary Krewe Kaptain this year.
● Sat, Feb.14 (afternoon): We are honored to perform live at the Abita Town Hall of the bustling metropolis of Abita Springs 1:00-5:00PM. Everybody's invited. Everybody! Even Mississippi people. We'll have all the CD's and tees and our autograph pens.
● Sun, Feb.15: Jefferson Parish's "Family Gras" on the "Louisiana Stage" located in 'Metry' right behind Chevy's on N. Hullen. This is the first year of "The Louisiana Stage" of now world-famous Family Gras. Help us help Metry. And all ya'll gotta' do is show up! That's 12:00Noon-12:45PM. We promise, all of our most Funest and Yateeist and Mardi Grawist hit songs whether ya' wanna' hear 'em or not. Sat, Feb.21: We're playing in Mandeville at "New Orleans Live Cafe", 2223  N Causeway. (Coming from the Causeway, go over the little high-rise and exit to the right (east) at Fairway Drv., there is an "H" sign because of Lakeview Regional Hospital. Head back toward the Causeway on the service road. "N.O. Live Cafe" is between Lakeview Hospital and Banner Ford.) We start around 9:00PM at least till 12:00 Midnight (or later if you hang-in) .
